Prof. Yi-Chou Tsai
Professor of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan


Prof. Yi-Chou Tsai obtained his B.Sc. (1991) and M.Sc. (1994) degrees from National Taiwan Normal University under the supervision of Professor Minghuey Shieh. He went to MIT for pursuing his PhD degree (2001) under the supervision of Professor C. C. Cummins. He then moved to Caltech for two years as a postdoctoral fellow with Robert H. Grubbs. In 2003, he joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at National Tsing Hua University, and was promoted to the level of Associate Professor in 2008, and a full Professor in 2012. His research interests are in fundamental aspects of inorganic and organometallic chemistry, mainly the exploration of low-valent and low-coordinate multiple bonded dinuclear complexes.
